ISLAMABAD Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued 84,619 fine tickets to residents over the past two months for violating various visitor laws. According to the records, 84,619fine tickets had been released over the past months, of which 9193 cards were issued to motorcyclists for no longer sporting helmets, 1487 motorists for the usage of non-sample variety plates, 19431 drivers for now not fastening seat belts, 2980 for the use of cellular telephones in the course of pressure, 954 for having no registration numbers; 5288 for lane violation; 1955 for incorrect parking; 551 for over-speeding; 5531 for breach of purple sign; 3930 for having tinted glasses; 5446 for overloading, 2644 over violation of routes; 21154 for careless driving and 4085 for taking incorrect flip.
ITP impounded many motors and bikes at several police stations over severe violations of traffic rules. The SP (Traffic) Khalid Rasheed has said that satisfactory tickets are issued now, not to a punitive degree. Still, the motive is to make residents more regulated to ensure the safety of their personal lives on the roads. He said that ITP personnel would continue providing safe street surroundings within the Capital and advised human beings to cooperate to make this city fat-free.
